Owen is a sweet, talented guy schooling Second Level dressage with show miles in both dressage and eventing. He recently finished 3rd in the First Level Dressage Championship at the T.I.P. Championships, scoring 68%+ in his tests. Well-behaved off property and easy to handle at shows. He also has schooling and recognized show miles through novice eventing with scores consistently in the low 30s and clear jumping rounds. I found he is the most consistently relaxed and confident in the dressage work and would love to find him a dressage-focused home that perhaps wants to do some hunter paces. I think he could thrive in a hunter program as well with good preparation.
He is a very fun ride on the flat, three quality gaits with an exceptionally balanced canter. Solid in his First Level work and schooling all of the Second Level movements with a natural flying lead change. Light in the bridle and developing a clear understanding of the leg and seat aids.
Owen is one of the sweetest horses you will meet with a great work ethic, always tries hard to please his rider! Best suited for an AA/YR with good basics and a soft hand with dressage aspirations. I could easily see him helping someone get their Bronze medal!
Not a spooky type, hacks out alone and with others, no vices, easy to handle, and happy to live outside 24/7 with friends! Located in Aiken, SC.
